TE MATA PEAK
Our main flying site is at Te Mata Peak, Havelock North. Its elevation is about 1300 feet AMSL. It has soarable faces open to the South through to North East. In the summer Te Mata Peak generates good thermal conditions and is affected by sea breezes in the afternoons. The take off area is intermediate/advanced so first time visitors must see a local pilot before flying.
